"Maine has the 5th highest state and local tax burden in the nation.  Maine is nearly 50% above the nation's average electricity rate. While other states attract investment, we are forcing our people from their homes with high property taxes, excise taxes and energy costs.  Worst of all, our education rating is at an all-time low.
